What is a Zipscreen blind?
Zipscreen is a premium Australian-made zip-track outdoor blind system. The fabric edges are welded with a continuous zipper that locks into the side guide rails, so the blind stays sealed against wind, rain, insects and UV — without the gaps you get on a side-channel or wire-guide blind.
It's one of three leading zip-track systems on the Australian market (the others being Ziptrak and eZip). Zipscreen is engineered and tested for Australian conditions and is the system we recommend most often for exposed Sunshine Coast properties — coastal-front homes, pool decks and second-storey balconies that cop the full force of a southerly or a summer storm.

How Zipscreen Blinds Work
- Zipped fabric edges lock into channels on each side, creating a sealed envelope.
- A spring-loaded bottom bar keeps the fabric under constant tension — no flapping, no rattling.
- You stop the blind at any height with the patented brake system (manual) or to the millimetre with a Somfy motor.
- Wind release safeguards let the blind disengage in extreme gusts so the fabric and guides don't tear.
The result is a blind that performs more like a wall when down, and disappears completely into a slim head-box when up.
